I created these illustrations to be included with the web feature I wrote titled "3 Shopping Habits That are Costing You and the Earth."
Each design is placed next to its environmentally harmful consumer behavior: online shopping (pink), single-use plastics (blue), and fast-fashion (yellow).
I decided on a simple, colorful illustration style to keep the reader visually stimulated while reading the serious article on consumer habits and their environmental effects. If the article became too heavy, then the bright illustrations would brighten the reader's mood encouraging them to continue reading.
